This is an unique program developed for parents of children who have diverse developmental and learning needs.
As a parent, you believe that the various Special needs learning and development options available in the market do not provide a long term sustainable solution to your child’s need of being independent.
What can I expect from this program?
This program would coach you as a parent with techniques and tools to fully empower yourself as necessary to work with your children in their own unique ways to empower them for a quality life ahead.
This program would enable you to establish a strong bonding, relationship and improved communication between you and your child, which is a fundamental need before your child can be empowered.
Some of the content covered in this program (not limited to):
- Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your child
- Using your child’s strengths to increase engagement through various forms of play
- Using your child’s strengths to increase communication verbally or non-verbally
- Creating strategies to manage and redirect your child’s weakness in a positive way
- How to set realistic and achievable goals for your child and measure success?
How will this program work?
- The is an one-on-one development program for you and your child, and requires your active participation
- Each program is for a period of 12 weeks, with 1 session each week [Total 12 sessions per program]
- Each session of the program would be for 60 minutes
- Material for coaching and learning: You are required to bring along a short video of 5 minute maximum for each session.
- There would be a 30-minute program Kick-off session prior to the start of each program to achieve the following:
- Guided introductions about yourself and your child
- Setting realistic and achievable goals for yourself and your child from the program
- Details of the video content and format, to be presented during the weekly sessions
What next after 12 weeks? As we cannot master every aspect of your child’s empowerment journey in 12 weeks, you can continue to enroll for another program to continue the empowering process for a different set of goals.
What is the cost to attend this program?
S$150 for each session
We strongly feel that such empowerment of our future generation is priceless. However we collect a small cost as a token of appreciation to the effort of the coach and the costs involved in running this program.
What do I need to do to get the most out of this program?
- Firstly, we need YOU and your trust to be always strong. Never let the situation get the better of you.
- Every failure faced during this process is an opportunity to learn more about your child and hence enabling you to know more about him/her and ways to empower him/her better.
- Every success faced during this process may be short lived, but it promises a better tomorrow for your child.
- Be open-minded to learn the new perspective of seeing the world through the eyes of your child, including trying new techniques and tools with your child.
What trust do you need to have before joining this program?
This program is for you, if and only if you have the following trust within you:
- My child is differently abled but he is fully capable of leading an independent, joyful, fulfilling and quality life
- My child is an unique individual and hence needs a different approach that works for him/her to make him independent
- We (as parents) need to empower our children to be independent by working on their strengths and teaching them to manage their weaknesses
- We need to empower our children to be capable of coexisting and collaborating within the communities they live
- We are the only ones who care the most for our children and need to take control of these
- We need to spend quality time with our child to make these happen
- Finally, we need to be empowered ourselves and act accordingly, before we can empower our children
